These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Save2Scroll mobile application ("the App") operated by SEPA Property LTD ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in the United Kingdom.
By creating an account or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. About the Service
Save2Scroll is a personal finance application that rewards saving behaviour with screen time. The App:
- Connects to your bank account (with your explicit consent) via TrueLayer, an FCA-authorised Account Information Service Provider, to read transaction data
- Analyses your transactions using artificial intelligence to detect saving patterns
- Awards screen time credits based on your saving progress against goals you set
- Manages device screen time restrictions using Apple's Screen Time framework
The App provides read-only access to your bank data. We cannot and do not initiate payments, transfer funds, or modify your bank accounts in any way.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the App.
- You must be a resident of the United Kingdom or a country where Open Banking services are available through TrueLayer.
- You must have a compatible iOS device and a bank account with a supported provider.
3. Your Account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials (Apple ID or email used to sign in).
- You must provide accurate information when creating your account.
- You must not share your account with others or create multiple accounts.
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
- Notify us immediately at sepaproperty@gmail.com if you believe your account has been compromised.
4. Bank Connection and Financial Data
- Connecting your bank account is optional. Core features of the App require a bank connection to function.
- By connecting your bank, you authorise us to access your account information and transaction history through TrueLayer's Open Banking service.
- You may disconnect your bank at any time from the App's Settings. Upon disconnection, your access tokens are immediately revoked and deleted.
- We store transaction data on our servers to provide the service. See our Privacy Policy for full details on data handling and retention.
- We are not responsible for the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of data provided by your bank through TrueLayer.
- You acknowledge that bank connectivity may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, outages, or changes by your bank or TrueLayer.
5. AI Transaction Analysis
- The App uses artificial intelligence to classify your transactions and calculate screen time credits.
- AI classifications are automated estimates and may not always be accurate. They do not constitute financial advice.
- Credit calculations are based on your personal goals and formula settings, which you can adjust at any time.
- We do not guarantee specific credit amounts or outcomes from using the App.
6. Screen Time Management
- The App uses Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls frameworks to manage app restrictions on your device.
- You grant the App permission to shield (block) and unshield (unblock) apps you select.
- Screen time credits are earned through saving behaviour and redeemed to temporarily unblock selected apps.
- We are not responsible for any loss, inconvenience, or disruption caused by apps being blocked or unblocked, including if a technical issue prevents timely unblocking or re-blocking.
- Screen time credits have no monetary value and cannot be exchanged, transferred, or refunded.
7. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to manipulate, exploit, or game the credit system
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App
- Interfere with or disrupt the App's infrastructure
- Access another user's account or data
- Use automated tools or scripts to interact with the App
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms.
8. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of the App — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, and software — are owned by SEPA Property LTD and are protected by United Kingdom and international intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App for its intended personal purpose.
9. Disclaimers
- Not financial advice. The App is a personal motivation tool. Nothing in the App constitutes financial, investment, tax, or other professional advice. You should consult a qualified financial adviser for decisions about your money.
- No guarantees. The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
- Third-party services. The App relies on third-party services including TrueLayer, Firebase, and AI providers. We are not liable for any failure, interruption, or error in these services.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law:
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, data, or goodwill.
- Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (if any).
- We are not liable for any financial decisions you make based on information displayed in the App.
- We are not liable for unauthorised access to your data resulting from your failure to secure your account credentials.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
11. Account Deletion
You may delete your account at any time from the App's Settings. Upon deletion:
- All bank connections are revoked and access tokens deleted
- All personal data, transaction history, goals, credits, and session records are permanently removed from our servers
- Your Firebase authentication account is deleted
- This action is irreversible
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the App or by email. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree with the changes, you should stop using the App and delete your account.
13. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. Sections 8, 9, 10, and 14 survive termination.
14. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
